Wild Iris Photography

Hello and thank you for stopping by.  My name is Heide Hongsermeier and I am a photographer based out of Sussex, WI. I've been passionate about dogs, families, and photography for as long as I can remember. I enjoy taking photos in outdoor settings around beautiful SE Wisconsin, using natural light to affect the character, mood, and texture of the portraits. My photos capture the personalities of children, families, and pets in natural settings.

Why Wild Iris Photography?  The idea to start a photography business grew out of my need for photos of my dog and my pregnancy back in 2015.  My dog was diagnosed with a cancer in January and we were told he had 3-6 months to live.  We were blessed with 8 months, but it was a very difficult time.  I started working on taking many many pictures of him.  Ones that we could hang on our wall.  When he passed, I looked to improve my photography skills and started taking classes.  It's taken years as I have worked to hone my skills and in November 2020 I opened Wild Iris Photography.

I continue to learn and have taken many more classes since my first.  I have also grown to love family and lifestyle photography as well as maternity photography.  I'm always open for questions and will work to understand your vision for your family.  It is my goal to get things right for you.
